If you've never met Jenny DeRosa Bergeron, you are missing out. She is one of the most real people we have ever encountered. Every interaction with her leaves us happier than before. Jenny owns Athene Wealth Managment in Glastonbury (Athene is the masculine version of Athena - the Goddess of wisdom and courage). Jenny chose the name to reflect her desire to show her clients they can be strong and courageous in pursuing their financial goals. Her start was serendipitous...she worked for a financial advisor who encouraged her to join his team. She knew right away it was for her. For years, she had told her husband she was interested in managing money and all that goes along with it. Her approach to helping people build wealth is methodical and engaging (with a bit of wit to keep it real). When you talk to Jenny, she makes you feel heard and important. It's not a show, she really cares and wants to help. Originally from South Windsor, Jenny now lives with her husband in the old Victorian they gutted and renovated on Main Street in Glastonbury. They care for her young grandkids, ages 2 and 3, full time and love family. LOBSTERFEST 2024
The Glastonbury Rotary Club held their Annual Lobsterfest fundraiser and it was a huge success thanks to many business sponsors and people who attended. The club sold less tickets this year, but everyone seemed to have more fun...go figure! They were able to make up some sales thanks to the true generosity of the people in attendance who participated in the 50/50 raffle. Congrats to the raffle winner who went home with $7,000 in cash! THE SOCIAL LOUNGE IN SOMERSET SET TO OPEN TODAY
After a slight bump in the road, the new bar and restaurant, Social Lounge & Bar, in Somerset Square is set to open TODAY. They were forced to close and delay their opening after an unexpected issue with some of their equipment. Show them some love today and hit up the bar later, will ya?!
