SNEAK PEEK: CLUBHOUSE ON MAIN...PLUS, NEXT LEVEL MICROBLADING COMING SOON

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

CLUBHOUSE ON MAIN IS GOING TO BE FUN FUN FUN

Clubhouse on Main is opening soon and it legit HAS. IT. ALL. We're talking virtual sports (golf, soccer, football, baseball, and more), ax throwing, pool tables, darts, LIVE music, pinball, arcade machines, a spacious bar, giant screen TVs everywhere, and plenty of tables. It really is a great spot for all things FUN! Owner, Kyle Corneau, is excited to join the Glastonbury entertainment scene. His background is in construction and this is his first venture into the restaurant business. They will be open 365 days a year (Yes sir-eee on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and the kitchen will operate until midnight every night (Menu includes basic bites - see below). So...here's the deal...Monday, the 20th is their GRAND OPENING, but if you happen to stop by Sunday, you might just catch them open and you can tell them The Scoop sent you for a LIVE look (WINK-WINK).

NATURAL LOOKING BROWS AT CHIC SPA MICROBLADING

There is a new microblading salon coming to town and the results are next level! Dev Do from Chic Spa Microblading in Avon will open her 2nd location inside Sundance Salon & Spa. Dev's story is quite incredible and inspiring. When she was just 14 years old, her parents saved money working as farmers to help Dev escape communist Vietnam. She left the country by boat but was turned back. A couple of years later, she tried again, but her boat was lost at sea for a week with no food or water. They eventually ran into an oil rig where the workers took them in and fed them before leading the boat to Malaysia. She worked there for a year before flying to the U.S. She spoke no English and had little money but was able to manage and excel in high school and eventually college. She later got a job as an engineer for Pratt & Whitney and built a career. When she had her kids, she realized she wanted more time with them, so she launched her own microblading business. The precision she brought to her engineering job is how she does brows and it shows. THEY. ARE. PERFECT. and look incredibly natural! Dev will be offering all different services at her new Glastonbury location, but we are loving the "NANO" which looks like real eyebrows. When you meet her, you can tell details are important to her so we know she will bring that same level to you and your face! Not to mention, she has a few local celebs as clients. To learn more, click HERE or TEXT/CALL 860.882.8027 to book an appointment for their December 1st OPENING.

GLASTONBURY ROTARY CLUB TO KICK OFF DIAPER NEEDS DRIVE

Glastonbury Rotary Club is working with The Salvation Army to help support children and families through the Baby Needs Drive. The effort will give new families some of the most basic items so they can care for their babies. The Rotary is asking for monetary donations to use toward purchasing diapers, baby wipes, formula, and baby food. With that money, they will buy the items from ShopRite in Manchester, Highland Park Market and Brookside Market in Glastonbury (the 3 stores donate $500 each to the drive). If you'd like to donate, you can Venmo Rotarian, Don Wilson (@Don-Wilson-137) or bring a check to Don's NAPA Auto Parts Store at 560 New London Turnpike. ANY amount is greatly appreciated!

ODDS & ENDS...

*Two more new hot spots in Hartford to hang pre-UCONN games...in addition to Urban Lodge Brewing Co., there is Hartford Flavor Cocktail Parlor that opened a few doors down on Pratt Street. There is also the new Sportsbook sports bar inside the XL Center. So many options, so little time!

*In Old Wethersfield, there is a fun new toy store opening on Main Street called Birdies at the Barn (adorbs!). They will go into the barn behind One Hope on Main. It's the sweetest little spot and we can't wait to see what they bring to OW.
