HERE’S THE SCOOP…
A MUST-SEE FOR ANYONE LOOKING TO MOVE INTO SENIOR LIVING
When Laura Steele from Colebook Village in Hebron sent us photos to use for this article, we immediately responded and asked her if we could live there! That's how fun (and we are all about fun) this senior living home looks. The amenities and activities include all the things you would like to see on say...vacation: spacious, comfortable, thoughtful floorplans, a quaint pub with daily happy hour, a salon, a library, a movie theater, exercise programs, and social engagements (plus more). We are obsessing over their event with pigs (see heartwarming pics below) where they hosted Gilbert, Meadow, and Sprinkles. Residents were able to feed, hold, and do tricks with them. We can't get enough of their happy faces. Other perks include food made from scratch. Chefs source ingredients locally and offer delicious meals morning, noon, and night. Services include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Respite Care. The team is incredibly warm and inviting. We know for sure that it's somewhere you can move your loved one and not worry one single minute about their health or happiness. Click HERE to schedule a visit and stay tuned to The Scoop's Instagram for a complete tour coming soon.

NEW BUSINESS: EMBODYYOU HOLISTIC WELLNESS
We can't get enough of all the unique offerings from Shawna Rocheleau of EmbodyYou Holistic Wellness. The food and body image coach helps women through their healing journey using personalized coaching, yoga, and reiki. Among her most intriguing and unique services is the Sacred Women's Circle which we are loving. It's essentially a small group of women who come together to share some of the challenges they're facing about their relationship with food and their bodies. They connect, meditate, practice breath work, and journal. Shawna is no stranger to the body image struggle. She battled anorexia for years before healing and getting to a place where she is able to help others. She is a soft-spoken, kind-hearted, loving person who takes thoughtful care of her clients. Speaking of thoughtful, her business name came to her one morning while she was waking up (just popped into her head) and she felt it was a message from her spirit guides and was meant to be. We think so too! On top of her core services, Shawna is adding a collaboration with Thread by Thread Boutique where she offers personal shopping with her clients who are struggling. They will get 10% off their purchase when they shop with her. To contact Shawna: CALL 847.867.4909 or EMAIL embodyyou43@gmail.com
HIGHLAND PARK RENOVATIONS
Our favorite local grocery store is getting a face lift. Highland Park Market on Manchester Road is doing some renovations that will include new, more efficient stand-up freezers near the meat section and a new produce section that will soon be moved to aisles 1 & 2 when you first walk in. Anyone else as obsessed as we are with Highland?! Can't wait to see the upgrades when finished!
