ON POINTE FITNESS NOW OPEN NEXT TO SPICY GREEN BEAN...PLUS, A NEW KIND OF SENIOR LIVING FACILITY

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

NEW BUSINESS: ON POINTE FITNESS & PERFORMANCE NOW OPEN

Eric LaPointe has been helping people transform themselves and their golf game for more than a decade. The personal trainer has been in the business for 15 years building custom fitness programs to help with weakness and mobility issues. He recently took over the Against the Grain space next to The Spicy Green Bean as On Pointe Fitness & Performance. Eric specializes in personal and small group training, golf specific training, and boot camps. We loved his calm and measured nature and are excited to try his boot camp classes which run Monday | Wednesday | Friday at 6 AM and 12 PM. Right now, he is offering a 10 pack of those classes for just $200 (An affordable option for getting your butt in gear pre or post holiday). Eric is also Title Performance Institute Certified to specifically train golfers bodies. And...COMING SOON to his space are force plates which measure how much force a golfer is applying and when they are applying it in their golf swing. It's the only location in Hartford County to offer this training tool. What a unique and perfect gift idea for the golfer guy or gal in your life. Click HERE or call 860.803.3060 to get started with him today.

COLEBROOK VILLAGE IN HEBRON DOESN'T FEEL LIKE SENIOR LIVING

It's that time of year where we start realizing that maybe elderly mom or dad needs to move to a place where they will have the kind of support that gives you peace of mind. Are we right? Not an easy decision or task to go about finding a place, so we did it for you. Colebrook Village in Hebron is a different kind of elder living facility. In fact, we love it so much, we would like to move there ourselves (but they won't let us!). NOt only do they have everything you could possibly want or imagine in one place (bar with daily happy hours, movie theater, spacious and comfortable floor plans), but they also offer a calendar of events, exercise programs, and much needed services for your loved one: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Respite Care. Not to mention the wonderful people who run the place. Laura Steele and Scot Kauffman are true gems who care deeply about their residents and families. Click HERE to schedule a visit.

NEW TO TOWN: FIELDING SOAP COMPANY

We have a great little "from the ground up" venture to tell you about! Lindsay and Ricky Fielding started making their own soap in 2021 while living in California where Ricky was stationed as a nurse with the Air Force. They launched Fielding Soap Company because they were struggling to find a soap that wouldn't dry out Ricky's uber sensitive skin. Their little company took off and became wildly popular at pop-ups and markets where they lived out West. Recently they moved back to Glastonbury to be closer to family with their daughter, Poppy, and continue to make the soap everyone came to love. The company was created with a sustainable mission in mind: No palm oil in their bars, no plastic packaging, and only high-quality, natural ingredients. The cold-press process they use to make the soap allows all the good stuff to maintain their therapeutic properties. Check out some of their offerings below or on their website HERE (right now they are offering 15% off orders of $20 or more with code: GETCLEAN) We think you all should get these as a holiday gift and give the Fieldings a big Glastonbury welcome!

DAMATOS TO OPEN HYDROTHERAPY SPA

Nick & Mary Damato, owners of Damato Chiropractic Center of Glastonbury, recently purchased the old daycare/church building on Naubuc Avenue and will turn it into a Hydrospa. Immerse Hydrospa & Massage will be a unique therapy spa that is the first of its kind in the area. If you don't know about hydrotherapy, check out their Insta HERE for a full description. It looks pretty awesome and we can't wait to try. They have a ways to go with major renovations to the building and getting through town approvals, but they hope to OPEN summer 2024, so stay tuned!
