OAKWOOD HAS LAUNCHED A NEW SUMMER CAMP
Oakwood Sports Center recently announced a new summer camp that is designed to fit any family's needs and schedule. Oakwood Day Camp is a co-ed multi-sport camp for kids ages 4 to 14 of all skill levels. Activities include dodgeball, wiffleball, kickball, flag football, cornhole, capture the flag, basketball, and of course soccer. There will also be video and board games. Some of the themes include Mission Impossible, Game Show, Funky Friday, Scavenger Hunt, and MORE. The best part is that they offer super flexible scheduling options including half day and all day. The camp runs 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with before and after care from 7:00 AM and to 6:00 PM. Registration is NOW OPEN. Click HERE to secure your spot! *And, oh...their facility got a fun, new refresh, including a reno of the snack counter and bar (with wine and beer for the rents - YES PLEASE!), an upgrade to their party/craft room, and a revamp of one of their fields into pickleball/basketball courts.

FIRST LOOK AT THE LAYOUT FOR GRISWOLD STREET APARTMENT COMPLEX
The town's ASDRC (Architectural & Site Design Review Subcommittee) had a favorable reaction to the presentation of a new layout for the 8-3g apartment complex proposed for the former Hitchcock property. You can see the visual below, but it includes five 3-4 story buildings, a pool and clubhouse. There will be access to this from Griswold Street and Main Street. The owners of the property will revise the design and present again at the April meeting. Stay tuned.

*The Glastonbury Youth Football Association is holding a FREE clinic for kids interested in football. It will be this Saturday, March 15th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Oakwood Sports Center. The organization offers flag football for K through 1st and tackle football for 2nd through 8th. We can attest that this clinic is AWESOME and very well-organized. To register, click HERE.
*The Junior League of Hartford has announced their Annual Showhouse at 820 Prospect Avenue in West Hartford. The house will be open to the public May 2nd to May 23rd.
