HERE’S THE SCOOP…
THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE IS UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP
The Learning Experience Glastonbury on Oak Street has revamped their leadership and is operating with a new director and new assistant director. Owner (and Glastonbury resident) Dee Patel said he recently hired new staff to align with the center's philosophy and high standards. Director, Miss Anquanette was previously a director at a local daycare before taking time off when she had her kids. Assistant Director, Miss Ashley is born and raised Glastonbury (you know we love!) and is also a mom. The two bring a different perspective as parents. And, finally, Assistant Director, Miss Aurimar has been at TLE for two years and has a true understanding of the kids and their families. The center offers care for infant through preschool using curriculum that is hands-on and fun! We were there when they hosted the Glastonbury Fire Department and the kids could not have been more excited. Their motto "happy happens here" is right on and we saw it firsthand during our visit. Right now, they're scheduling tours for interested families. To reserve a time, click HERE.

PLAY STUDIO TO OPEN THIS OCTOBER
A new concept play space is opening in the old Fuller Yoga space behind Panera in Glastonbury. Rooted Play Studio will offer art, sensory, music, and STEM activities for kids 0 to 6 years old. Owners (and sisters) Rachelle and Christelle decided to take their experience within their own fields and create a fun and engaging place for families. Rachelle is a certified childhood director and a keynote speaker/trainer for early childhood education programs. Christelle owns Picnics & Balloons and will bring the creative side to the business. They are aiming to OPEN this October.
FRANCESCA'S CLOSING AT SOMERSET
Francesca's Clothing Boutique is set to CLOSE their location at the Shops at Somerset Square. They are currently offering 60% off the entire store. Their last day is September 11th. This is such a loss for Somerset, but they are truly working hard to attract businesses that will thrive there. Soon to OPEN are HotWorx (an infrared sauna fitness studio) and BareBurger (organic, quality burgers). Still no word or update on PITA (the owners of The Place 2 Be) that was supposed to go into the old Max's space. There has been interest in a few of the other open spaces so STAY TUNED!
