MILLSTREAM CONSTRUCTION'S TOP OF THE LINE ROOFING SERVICE...PLUS, BUY A BRICK TO SUPPORT ROTARY

HERE'S THE SCOOP...

*If you have something you are curious about in town, email thescoopglastonbury@gmail.com

MILLSTREAM CONSTRUCTION'S ROOFING SERVICE IS THE HIGHEST QUALITY

Chris Gonsalves was, perhaps, destined to work in construction. He grew up around it his entire life. That's why, in 2009, it was a no-brainer for him to start his own company, which is now Millstream Construction. The young entrepreneur started from the ground-up, initially borrowing a pickup truck to drive to and from projects. He has since grown to become one of the top roofing companies in the state. Millstream is one of the few in the nation to be both Owens Corning Platinum Preferred and GAF Master Elite certified (that means their level of service, quality, and support are TOP NOTCH). They recently bought and renovated an old building on Williams Street where Chris manages his team. We could praise their work all day long, but the BEFORE and AFTER pictures speak for themselves. Check them out below or call for a consult: 860.530.4586.

BUY A BRICK AND SUPPORT THE ROTARY CLUB

Here is a fun way to support local and keep your family name forever part of the history of Glastonbury. The Glastonbury Rotary Club is selling custom bricks at Riverfront. The area around the pavilion showcases hundreds of bricks with the names of families and business owners. It's a great tribute to who or what you love! Our kiddos LOVE seeing their names on the brick at one of their favorite spots in town. To buy a brick, email rotarybrix@gmail.com or call Margaret 860.916.3517.

COFFEE SHOP OPENS IN OLD WETHERSFIELD

A Glastonbury couple has opened a new coffee shop on Main Street in Old Wethersfield (one of our favorite spots!). Vincent and Siobhan Federici held their grand opening last week for Drumroll Coffee Roasters. Vincent started roasting coffee and selling at fairs and online. It became so popular that he decided to open the shop! They sell a variety of select roasts and coffee accessories. Visit them for a taste or find them online HERE. They will customize any order. We live for coffee and can't wait to try!

GASTROPARK IN WEST HARTFORD

The soon-to-be GastroPark (a food truck venue) in West Hartford is running a crowdfunding campaign to help them reach their goal for opening. Those who donate will get different perks for helping them. This new concept is pretty cool...a spot where four different food trucks will be able to park and serve customers, an outdoor patio and yard for gathering and playing lawn games and an indoor bar area with seating. What more could you ask for? To see more about them or help them out, click HERE.
