HERE’S THE SCOOP…
COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE INVESTORS WANTED
Similar to what is happening on the residential side, commercial real estate firms are seeing a huge boom in the commercial real estate market. Jason Kushner and Rocco Gondek of Kushner Development are currently searching for high net worth investors looking to add commercial real estate to their own portfolios. Properties they typically acquire include solid retail and industrial sites. They own the Just Be Plaza and the Putnam Bridge Plaza (both on the East Hartford/Glastonbury line). They have a few Middletown buildings as well and more recently, they added Bruegger's Bagels on Main Street to their property line up. Although their focus is Massachusetts and Connecticut, they are rapidly expanding their reach to properties farther south from North Carolina to Florida. The commercial scene down South is booming and they want you to be a part of it. For more info about their properties or how you can invest, click HERE.

There is currently a request for a change of use from office to restaurant going through Town Plan & Zoning. Black Bamboo has a loyal following west of the river and incredible Google Reviews. We will keep you posted, but in the meantime, check out their menu HERE.

DO GOOD SCOOP
TEEN TEACHES YOUNG GIRLS TO PLAY CHESS
Inspired after watching The Queen's Gambit, Sam Tishler asked for a chess set for Hanukkah and taught herself to play. When she received a grant from the Norton Fellowship Program through her high school, Loomis Chaffee, Sam decided to teach young girls the game of chess in hopes of instilling confidence in them. She held multiple workshops where she taught them how to play. At the start of each workshop, she would ask the girls "What do you like about yourself?". At the end, she held her own little chess tournament at Berkins Blend with trophies and all! Talk about DO GOOD INSPIRATION...kuddos to you Sam for being a special part of these girls' lives.
