JEFFERSON RADIOLOGY TAKES OVER NEW SPACE NEAR BRICCO...PLUS, DON'T MISS THIS STUNNING NEW HOME DECOR BOUTIQUE

HERE’S THE SCOOP…

JEFFERSON RADIOLOGY'S NEW DIGS

Jefferson Radiology recently took over the office space in Eric Town Square next to Bricco. They offer a new Open MRI for those seeking a more comfortable, yet still high-quality, MRI alternative. Patients who experience claustrophobia or are super anxious about a traditional MRI will be able to receive the same distinctive care with ease and comfort. Not to mention, a radiologist that lives locally in town...Dr. Sameer Hanfi and his wife recently purchased their first home in Glastonbury. They love the town and are excited to raise their 2-year-old son here. He has an interesting story...emigrating from Pakistan where much of his family still lives. Dr. Hanfi came from Massachusetts where he did his residency, specializing in abdominal imaging. He has such a pleasant demeanor. The new office will offer MRI of the following: brain/neck, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal, along with angiograms. For more info, visit their FAQ page HERE.

WE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF SHOPPE ABODE ON MAIN STREET

We are suckers for gorgeous little boutiques and this one is a MUST VISIT! The all new and absolutely stunning, Shoppe Abode on Main Street is a visual delicacy. Owner, Amber Marques had a dream that started as a young girl. She loved designing spaces...so much that when she was in the 5th grade, she suggested to her parents that they take a wall down in their house to open up a room (they later did). Each birthday, while other kids were asking for bikes and toys, Amber was asking for new bedding and pillows (LOVE!). Fast forward to when she bought her own home, Amber started an Instagram called 'Home by Amber'. It wasn't her job, but her friends would recommend her and suddenly, her business was born. Amber Marques Interiors is a full-service design firm that specializes in kitchen and bath, whole home, and new construction. As time passed, Amber wanted to bring her design aesthetic to a space where people could visit and see products in person. Hence, Shoppe Abode. This tiny, but mighty little shop is an exciting showcase of soft furnishings, sofas, rugs, chairs, coffee tables, home accessories and more. The modern, traditional mix focuses on earth tones and neutral colors combined with organic elements and textures. Amber is known for her soothing palette and her ability to bring a room together with various textiles. When we are ready, she is designing our entire home!

FIRST IN THE AREA CAT CAFE COMING TO GBURY

There is a new concept cafe coming to Hartford County. Marcie's Angels Cat Cafe will take over the former Cove's Barber Shop space (Cove's moved down the street) in the plaza across from Nardelli's on the Glastonbury/East Hartford Line. Essentially, it is a place where you buy a coffee or food from local vendors and a ticket and cuddle cats. It will be run in tandem with Protectors of Animals and cats will be up for adoption. These cafes originated in Taiwan and continue to be hugely popular overseas. Stay tuned for an opening date.

ICYMI: NEW TEQUILA FROM BILL DRIGGS AND BRIAN WILLIAMS

This has been a hot topic on social, but ICYMI: Cantina Azul was developed by locals Bill Driggs and Brian Williams. The new tequila is offered at both Sayulita and 2Hopewell and specific local liquor stores. We are crushing on the bottle label, designed by one of our local faves: Kat of Good Witch Design Studio.
