HARTWELL SOCCER IS CALLING ALL GIRLS AND OFFERING INFO FOR PARENTS

Let's hear it for the girls! Hartwell Soccer Club is looking for girls PreK - 2nd grade interested in joining rec or travel soccer. Travel starts in first grade. This is an incredible program with a stellar reputation for developing players. This Saturday, May 3rd from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, there is an information session at Smith lower fields about what parents can expect. Matt Pecheone and Alissa LoVerme will be available to answer questions while kids play. There will be open play game, prizes, and snacks. You don't have to be new to the sport to attend. It's for any family looking to learn more about the soccer programs and what they entail. Plus...it's FUN! If you are ready to roll with the soccer as your sport, register for tryouts HERE.

NEW MEXICAN RESTAURANT NEXT TO HOME GOODS OPENS THIS WEEK

The new Mexican restaurant going in next to Home Goods (also in Wethersfield) opens in just two days: Wednesday, April 30th at 3:00 PM (LIT!). No Mames Mexican Cantina is owned by DORO Restaurant Group (Avert, Treva, Zohara, DORO Marketplace, Artisanal Burger, and Casadoro Ristorante & Bar) and looks like a super fun new spot for one of our favorite foods! We loved their little teasy line on social about an opening date: HOY NO AMIGO, PERO PRONTO (not today friend, but soon). But now...we are two days 'til go time.

THE FRESH MARKET NOW OPEN IN WETHERSFIELD

We popped into The Fresh Market's new location in Wethersfield last week and it's awesome...could easily be our new OBSESSION. It's brand new, so gorgy gorg and offers so much, we were enamored and overwhelmed deciding what we should try. Anywhooo...definitely put it on your list as a place to visit and see pics below.

CONSOLIDATED CIGAR BUILDING RENO UNDERWAY

We noticed that they've started work on the old Consolidated Cigar Corp. building at 38 Hubbard across from the Green. There is a fence up and the windows are out. The proposed renovation of this building into multi-family housing (known as Warehouse 38) was stalled for a little while after facing legal challenges but is now moving forward. The development features 31 units, a community room, game room, theater, and fitness center. We hope they leave the sign on the front!
