SUMMER CAMP AT GLENBROOKE IS BELOVED BY ALL
One of our summer faves...The Glenbrooke Kids Camp at Glenbrooke Outdoor Sports Center...beloved by all of the families who participate. The camp includes every activity under the sun (literally)...Red Cross certified swimming lessons, basketball, pickle ball, double dutch jump rope, soccer, arts & crafts, lawn games, and more. It runs for 8 weeks Monday through Friday morning and afternoon or ALL DAY. You can choose what works for your schedule. Glenbrooke is a hidden 12-acres oasis with two gorgeous pools, a new soccer field, basketball court, pickleball courts, and plenty of lawn room to run around. They are also now accepting Care4kids, which makes the camp accessible to all. The counselors and director are true gems who care deeply about the kids and offer support to all of the campers. NO LOOSE ENDS HAS THE BEST VIBE
It doesn't seem that long ago that we announced there was a new salon, No Loose Ends, moving into half of the old Cove space in the Putnam Plaza across from ShopRite on the East Hartford line, but can you believe it's been two years? In that time, owner Dominique Greco has grown a mighty little team of stylists who rent chairs from her. We visited on one of her busier days and it felt like home. Not only is the space absolutely gorgeous, but the vibe among the women is happy, personable, supportive, and downright family-esque. It's all because of Dominique who is the warmest, most positive person you could meet. A single mom to daughter, Diamond (her bestie), Dominique has been dreaming about this business for years. She had the name forever hoping one day it would be her own. And here she is, rockin' and rollin'...killing it every step of the way. So, with that said, she currently has two chairs FOR RENT. Run, don't walk to get them while you can because this is a girl club like no other. NOODLE HOUSE SIGNS ARE UP
We announced back in....that a new restaurant would be going into the old Subway space next to Webster Bank at the rotary. Signs are now up for Noodle House and we are told they are aiming to OPEN in February. This is the same owner as Sushi House in Rocky Hill which gets rave reviews. Can't wait to try this too!
GOTTA HAVE IT MOVING TO NEW SPACE
We are super excited for our friend and boutique owner, Debbie Shain of Gotta Have It on Main Street. She is moving her little shop to a bigger space in town (details COMING SOON).
