FIGS BISTRO & BAR NOW OPEN IN SOUTH GLASTONBURY
Figs on Main Street in South Glastonbury is now OPEN! The restaurant held an event with invited guests a week ago and officially opened their doors to the public this past Friday. Their extensive menu includes small plates such as grilled calamari, keftedes (meatballs), and sliders. There are five salad selections including a beet salad, baby kale salad, and fig salad. Main plates include everything from Rib Eye to Ahi Tuna or Rotisserie Chicken. They also have several options for pastas, burgers and sides. A few photos and the menu below.
BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY TO HOST GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR KIDS WITH CANCER
Berkshire Hathaway Home Services is excited about their annual charity golf tournament that will benefit The Sunshine Kids. The non-profit allows kids with cancer to travel and participate in fun events with their peers. This year, the tournament is moving to Glastonbury Hills Country Club and will be $160. DANCE STUDIO GIVING BACK TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
Arthur Murray in Glen Lochen is giving 40% of proceeds from their Summer Dance Camp to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The dance studio is offering the camp sessions, which include three different styles of dance, for $250. $100 of that will go toward CCMC. NEW SALON OPENS IN THE SOLA SALON STUDIOS
Salon Brittany has opened at Sola Salon Studios. Brittany Morrisette has been in business since 2010, but recently opened her new studio in the Shops at Somerset Square. She uses organic hair products that contain natural plant extracts and essential oils. Check out her new space below!
