HERE’S THE SCOOP…
ROB BORMAN OF LANDSCAPE ADVISORS OFFERS PREMIUM LAWN SERVICES
Rob Borman‘s obsession with turf grass and hydrangeas started when he maintained a few high level properties after college. The Glastonbury dad and owner of Landscape Advisors, a local lawn maintenance company he founded in 2017, brings a higher level of customer service and attention to detail for their clients. Prior to starting Landscape Advisors, Rob worked as a Groundskeeper for Professional Baseball and later as a Grounds Manager at a university. Both properties required an extra level of care to ensure perfection at every turn. During this time, he not only learned what it takes to keep properties pristine, but also the importance of a customer centric philosophy. And that has become his main focus for clients of Landscape Advisors. Originally from Westchester, New York, Rob now lives in S. Glastonbury with his wife and three kiddos (2 boys and a girl). He and his team offer all things landscape maintenance including mowing, mulching, plantings and more. The goal is always exceptional customer service and creating beautiful outdoor spaces for clients. Check out some of their work below. They are currently taking on new clients for this upcoming season, so if you are searching for someone to beautify your property, give them a call: 860.390.1411.
POKEWORKS COMING TO GLASTONBURY
We recently learned that Pokeworks will be opening in the old StateFarm space in the The Shoppes at Fox Run near Whole Foods. We-ha.com reports that the owner, Sonny Chen is planning to open the raw seafood hotspot in the next few months, although we popped by and renovations have not started just yet. Chen also owns Black Bamboo, a Chinese restaurant in West Hartford, which we had originally thought was going into the space in Glastonbury. We contend that we would still love to see a Black Bamboo in town, but also know that Pokeworks will be a huge hit.
JERSEY MIKES UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
The Glastonbury location of Jersey Mike's has been sold to new owners. Beth and McRae Williams, both Glastonbury residents, had owned the franchise since its opening a few years ago. They were incredibly involved with the local community and gave back to many organizations, so they will surely be missed! We are still working to find out who the new owners are. If you have The Scoop, let us know. We would love to connect with them.
RED FOX PRIME LATEST
Renovations are underway for the new steakhouse opening in Glen Lochen. We popped in to check out the progress on Red Fox Prime and bumped into the owner, Fico Cecunjanin. He said they have a meeting with the town April 6th and will have more details about opening after that. He and his family own multiple restaurants in Middletown and across the state. Super nice guy! Looking forward to having him as part of the Glastonbury community.
