HERE’S THE SCOOP…
DISTEFANO FAMILY EXPANDS DENTAL PRACTICE
It's an impressive feat! DiStefano Family Dentistry recently added their 4th dentist to the practice, marking a milestone for father-son team, Dr. John and Dr. Nick DiStefano. Dr. John started the practice more than 30 years ago, building it from the ground up before adding his son, Dr. Nick, to the team. The two are a gregarious pair with a passion for dentistry and helping people. That energy has translated into a lot of growth for this high-tech practice. Recently, they added their fourth dentist, Dr. Mike Fazzone. Dr. Mike graduated from Columbia University and completed his residency at the University of Utah with a focus on comprehensive dental care. The practice as a whole offers some of the best dental technology in the field including ZOOM whitening, CEREC same day crowns, 3D scanning for guided implant surgery and root canals. To make an appointment, call 860.308.1777 and tell them we sent you.
STATION THIRTY-FIVE POTENTIAL SALE
We are hearing from multiple sources that the plaza with Constantine Hardware and The Coffee Shop (Station Thirty-Five Commons) has been shown to potential buyers and is about to be listed for sale on MLS. This is directly next to Giovanni's in the heart of town. We can't wait to see what happens with this highly desirable location. Per usual, we have lots of ideas...so new owners, call us maybe?! We expect it could be listed this week, but STAY TUNED.
OAKWOOD SOLD TO NEW OWNERS
The popular soccer and indoor sports facility, Oakwood, has sold to a New Jersey-based company. National Sports Group owns and operates multiple youth athletic training facilities in New Jersey. They also have an artificial turf construction company that specializes in building turf soccer fields and more. Oakwood Soccer Club will continue to operate under the current management through June of 2024. We don't know about you, but we are hoping for some upgrades!
TOWN RESIDENTS TO HOST HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE
As part of a Holocaust remembrance night, three local women are sponsoring a contest for ALL high school age students (Grades 9-12) living in Glastonbury. Debra Glass, Carol Fishman, and Elizabeth Berman hope to shed light on the horrific acts of anti-semitism experienced by Jewish people. The subject is how hate and prejudice have contributed to violence, discrimination, and divisiveness throughout history. Students can approach the contest in whatever way they see fit, including writing, poetry, video, or painting. There will be cash awards for the winners: 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $150. They will be given to the winners during the Holocaust Remembrance Night on May 9th at 7 PM (to be held at First Church of Christ on Main Street). To enter, visit GHRP.net.
