HERE’S THE SCOOP…
BETTER FAMILY MEALS TAKES THE STRESS OUT OF MEALTIME
Let us guess...you have one child who eats everything and another who eats nothing. This tale as old as time can be frustrating and overwhelming, but we found someone who can help. Registered Dietitian, Sarah Ladden from Better Family Meals takes the stress, anxiety, and overwhelm out of the mealtime chaos. The Glastonbury mom-of-three started her pediatric nutrition practice after working in the corporate world as a marketing and public relations professional for food companies. She realized she was very good at translating the science of food into practical advice for families. And VOILA...Better Family Meals came to be. Sarah works with families to create a plan that helps foster healthy eating habits for kids and reduces stress for parents. She does this by treating picky eating, improving nutritional quality, increasing dietary variety, addressing growth concerns, and creating feeding accommodations for Neurodivergent or ADHD kids. Some of her offerings include private counseling, group coaching, public speaking, and professional in-services. In her spare time, Sarah loves spending time at their Vermont house, snuggling with her Beagle or finding the best local bakery during her travels. We loved her at first chat and know you will too.

TWO NEW RESTAURANTS COMING TO THE GALLERY SPACE
We first announced this back in January, but we have an update on the two restaurants going into the old Gallery space. Things are moving along for approval of their design. It's GORG...see below. Market Hospitality Group is bringing Marketplace Kitchen & Bar (modern American) and Mercato Italian Kitchen the space. We are sooooo excited! Feel like we always say 'stay tuned', but STAY TUNED!
ICYMI: THREE BIG STORIES BLOWING UP OUR SOCIAL
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT: Developers are getting closer to finalizing a design for the property across from the fountain on Main Street in Glastonbury. This includes the three buildings to the left of Daybreak. All will be redeveloped. Zohara Mediterranean Kitchen and DORO Marketplace are set to go into the building directly next to Daybreak. Other features include residential and (fingers crossed) retail along the street. The building that is considered historic (with the Mahogany Shoppe) will stay, but will be renovated. This still needs full town approval, but the design was mostly favored by members of the ASDRC and the TPZ during a meeting last week. We know change is hard, but this property needs to be brought to life and we think this design is quite stunning.
SOUTH GLASTONBURY HOUSING COMPLEX: Last week, the developers of a new housing complex proposed for 36 Hopewell Road (a few doors up from 2 Hopewell) unveiled a rendering of the project during a joint ASDRC /TPZ meeting. This will be an 8-30g affordable housing development. Currently on the property is the Dean Glazier estate, which will remain and be renovated into additional apartments. We will let you know the next steps for this.
CONSTANTINE HARDWARE CLOSURE: It's the end of an era for this family owned shop. Constantine Hardware will close their doors at the end of this month. This is part of a larger story that includes the sale of the plaza where they are located. We are hearing that the Schwartz's are in the process of buying the building. They own many other properties in town including Eric Town Square. The sale is NOT final, but they have reached out to current tenants to introduce themselves as the potential owners.
