HERE’S THE SCOOP…
CLOSE YOUR REAL ESTATE DEAL WITH AUSTIN APANOVICH
Austin Apanovich is the kind of guy everyone loves! We know because when we did our GET TO KNOW LOCAL social media series with him, several people wrote unsolicited testimonials that spoke to his character and how he has helped them. Doesn't get much better than that! Austin is an estate planning attorney at Kane, Hartley, & Kane. The 2008 GHS Grad (you know we love it!) started out as a police officer in Newington in his 20's, but quickly realized he wanted something different, so he went to UConn Law School. Now he does residential and commercial real estate closings (CALLING ALL REALTORS!), full estate planning, small business and commercial transactions, wills, trusts, and probate. His favorite thing to do is hang with his wife and son, but he's also a huge Plan B fan and loves anything that has to do with their slogan...burgers, beer, and bourbon! Austin loves giving back and offers a 20% discount to first responders, military personnel, healthcare workers, and educators. Find him HERE or call 860.633.3651 o set up a consult.
NEW RESTAURANT POSSIBLY COMING TO OLD 1000 DEGREES SPACE
We have heard from multiple sources that Blaze Pizza is potentially going into the old 1000 Degrees Pizza space in the same plaza as Jersey Mike’s and Chick-fil-A. This is a national chain with one Connecticut location at UConn that has a huge following. And we quote (from a Gbury local): "We literally drive there to eat at Blaze because it's so good." Alrighty then...we are psyched! The restaurant chain was founded in 2011 by the owners of Wetzel's Pretzels (Elise and Rick Wetzel). LeBron James is an investor. Now...this is not 100% confirmed, but we think it's pretty close, so STAY TUNED!!
NEW SALAD RESTAURANT TO TOWN
Town Plan & Zoning recently approved a restaurant for the old Pet Valu space next to Ivy Rehab at 2520 Main Street. Chopt Creative Salad Co. is expected to occupy the space. The chain restaurant was founded 18 years ago in 2001 by good friends Colin McCabe and Tony Shure when they were in their early 20's and saw a gap in the market for a quick, healthy food option. They have since grown to more than 60 locations across the country. They offer chopped (with a mezzaluna knife) salads that include high-quality ingredients (no sugar in their dressings). Check out their menu HERE and see below for the rendering of the Glastonbury location.
