HERE’S THE SCOOP…
PIZZA SHOP AT SHOPS ON MAIN GRAND OPENING
1000 Degrees Pizza will hold their Grand Opening this Sunday. Glastonbury residents and owners, Joseph and Jacqueline Weiss have been working round the clock to get ready for the opening. They have been recipe testing, hiring staff, and working with contractors to make their dream a reality. The pizza franchise has a different concept….they cook pizza (using a 100-year old traditional Neopolitan recipe) inside a burning hot oven in just minutes. The Glastonbury location will feature several craft beer and wine selections along with some yummy and unique desserts. Stop in and welcome them to town this weekend!
NEW BOOKSTORE IN OLD JAN’S ON MAIN
Remember when we told you about the independent book store coming to town? Well, owner, Meghan Hayden has found the most perfect location on Main Street. River Bend Book Shop will soon take over the space at the old Jan’s on Main. It’s a quaint little gray house just past the fountain on the right. River Bend Book Shop has been a regular at the Farmer’s Market throughout the Summer. We can’t wait for them to move in, but until then, check out their site and all the fabulous books available here.
TATTOO SHOP OPENS ON SCHOOL STREET
Tucked away on School Street in the center of town is a cute little fairytale cottage where Seven Ravens Tattoo Shop recently opened. Owner, Erica Lynn, has a talent for helping clients design a tattoo that fits their story and their personality. Her shop name is derived from the fairytale by The Brothers Grimm. There are sprinklings of other fairytales throughout the shop, such as The Three Little Pigs and Charlotte’s Web. She says tattoos are therapeutic and usually symbolize a critical moment in someone’s life. Find her on Instagram.
